Eid-el-Fitr: Gombe Governor Dankwambo Celebrates With Workers, Release Their June Salary

Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, the Gombe state governor has released June salary to workers in the state to enable them to enjoy the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

NIGERIA NEWS notes that the Dankwambo in a statement by his media aide advised the people of Gombe state to celebrate Sallah by extending peace to all nooks and crannies of the state.

He wished the people happy Sallah celebrations and urged them to imbibe the spirit of peaceful coexistence and tolerate each other’s irrespective of ethno-religious differences.

The state governor warned the people to avoid violence as the political activities to the 2019 general gear up.

He added that the government will not hesitate to deal with anyone or group caught causing breach of the peace in the state.

Meanwhile, in an earlier report, NIGERIA NEWS had reported that federal high court sentenced former Nigerian governor to 14 years imprisonment for money laundering among others.

Katsina: Scores feared dead in Katsina as armed bandits attacks villages

Many people were believed to be slaughtered as several communities in Katsina were allegedly ambushed by armed bandits on motor bikes. The hooligans invaded communities in the local government areas of Dan Musa, Faskari and Batsari, killing several people, according to Daily Trust.

Gathers that 11 men were believed to have been killed after a bandit onslaught in the Sabon Layin Galadima region of Faskari LGA.

Nevertheless, SP Gambo Isah, Katsina state’s police spokesperson, have said that the police received information revealing that only one person was shot in the face. Isah said that the said person is alive and is now being attended to at the hospital at the moment.

Isah also acknowledged that during the assault animals were ruffled as well.

Five people were reported to have died in Mara Zamfarawa neighborhood, Dan Musa LGA on Tuesday, May 21, and many animals were rustled. The armed bandits also invaded peasants employed on agricultural lands, based on the what the local people had revealed.

On Tuesday afternoon, the bandits were said to have ambushed Yar Gamji neighbourhood of Batsari LGA as well, and natives put the number of deaths at 10.

It is disclosed that the law enforcement still have not reacted to requests about the other two tragedies.

NIGERIA NEWS had earlier reported that this armed bandits kidnapped Students and teachers in zamfara state.

And even some people have revealed the sponsors of this attack.

EFCC again arrest 8 yahoo yahoo boys in Lagos with their ‘tools’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, has captured eight speculative yahoo yahoo boys, suspected of engaging in cybercrime.

The suspects are: Adesanmi Abiodun, Olasupo Emmanuel, Segun Amudah, Aina Oladipo, Babatunde Olawuyi, Oleyi, Felix Onyebuchi, and Abdulazeez Ismaila.

The suspects were captured in Forthright Estate, Lagos State’s Magboro territory on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Their arrest resulted from the commission’s insight report. Things that have been recovered from the suspects include flashy cars, phones and PCs.

When examinations are closed, the suspects will be charged to court before long.
