Shehu Sani Reacts To Raid On Edwin Clark’s Home, Sends Strong Message To Police

Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna central at the red chamber of the National Assembly, has reacted to the recent raid on the home of elder statesman Edwin Clark by some operatives of the Nigeria police in Abuja.

NIGERIA NEWS notes that the lawmaker who chided the police for the raid that sparked outrage nationwide said the police should go elsewhere to look for arms instead of raiding a house where the things they would find are books and other petty domestic stuff.

Shehu Sani made this comment in a couple of tweets via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, September 5

“If you are looking for a hat,a walking stick and stock of books go to Clark’s castle; If you are looking for arms go to Sambisa,” he added.

“The raid on the house of chief EK Clark is condemnable. The Elder statesman should be treated with respect by security agencies knowing the implications of such an action. The police should apologize to him,” he said.
