Suicide: 25-Year-Old Man Hangs Self In Ondo

Suicide: Man Allegedly Killed Self In Ondo

NIGERIA NEWS has gathered that a young man aged 25, identified as Ayo Paul has bid the earth farewell as he allegedly hanged himself in Aule, a community in Akure, the Ondo State Capital.

The information was disclosed by the detectives in the state police command yesterday.

According to the information, Paul’s dangling body was discovered by his landlord who allegedly went to check up on him for not coming out to participate in Last Saturday environmental sanitation carried out in the compound.

Another source who pleaded anonymity, a neighbour to the deceased described Paul as a very quiet person.

According to the source, the deceased has been living alone in the compound for quite some time and does not show any traces of being capable to terminate own life.

Conversely, another neighbour who does not want his name mentioned too reveals that Paul has been passing through some difficult times, especially in the area of finance noting that that could have contributed to the decision of him to have committed suicide.

In the words of the first undisclosed source: “Nobody could say the reason Ayo committed suicide, because he was a gentleman and he never had an issue with anybody.”

“It was his landlord that was looking for him when he did not see him on Saturday morning. “But on opening his room, the landlord found his lifeless body and immediately raised the alarm.”

Confirming the incident, the command public relations officer, Femi Joseph, unravel the mystery behind the suicide.

In the words of Joseph: “we are yet to know why the deceased took such an action. But we have commenced an investigation on the incident.”

He further described the incident as an “unfortunate” one.
