Stephen Eze, Dayo Ojo Make CAF Best XI In Just-Concluded CHAN Competition
Following the impressive run of the home-based Super Eagles to the final of the just-concluded African Nations Championship (CHAN) held in Morocco, two of the Eagles’ nearly-successful side have been included in the team of the tournament.
This was confirmed when the organisers of the competition, Confederation of African Football (CAF) released their list of best players from the tournament.
Super Eagles defenders, Stephen Eze and Dayo Ojo were the players to make the cut by CAF.
The defending duo both had an impressive tournament as they both scored some magnificent goals in the course of the competition.
Recall that Nigeria News covered the 2018 CHAN Tournament where the Super Eagles of Nigeria came second after they lost out in the final to host nation, Morocco.
Star of the tournament, Ayoub El-Kaabi, who scored 9 goals in 6 matches for the home team, was joined in the tournament list by 6 other Moroccan players both in the first team and the substitutes bench.
Other than Nigeria, Libya, Sudan, Angola and Zambia also had representatives in the team of the tournament as compiled by CAF.
