Livingstone Etse Satekia, with the stage name Stonebwoy and his Ghanaian counterpart Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known by his stage name, Shatta Wale have both engaged in a feisty battle during the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in Ghana on Saturday, 18th of May NIGERIA NEWS can report.

The fight started during the event after Stonebwoy was named the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards reggae dance hall artiste of the year. In his acceptance speech, Stonebwoy bragged about beating Shatta Wale for the fifth time to claim the award. This does not in any way go down well with him. Spontaneously, he got to the podium along with his entourage to meet Stonebwoy.

Things would have gone sour if not for the timely interventions of security operatives at the venue of the event as they stopped Stonebwoy’s entourage and fans alike. However, there was still a fight on the stage.

A video which surfaced online showed, Stonebwoy holding a gun while he was being held back by security operatives.

At the moment, the true picture of what really transpired that led to the brawl cannot be substantiated as some cross section claimed Shatta Wale was responsible for what led to the attack after Stonebwoy was announced the winner. he was said to have left his seat even before Stonebwoy gave his speech.

NIGERIA NEW gathered that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards reggae dancehall artiste of the year 2019 was handcuffed and taken away by the police. Shatta Wale was swift to take on to his tweeter account as he tweet:

You pull out Gun on innocent people. Ghana police do your work… this is called insecurity… it’s a shame Ghana music supports this arrogant cripple !!.

His tweet have however, generated wide range of response

Yemi my lover

Revered Nigerian actor, Yemi Ayebo has said that he had produced other movies that were better than Yemi my Lover, the title that brought him to the limelight.

Speaking with Sunday Scoop he admitted that it was the movie that t made him popular and that’s how he got his stage name.

“Even if I make movies that are more interesting, they may not be as popular as the one from which I derived my stage name. As a matter of fact, I have made movies that are better than Yemi my Lover. For you to know how powerful that name is, many of the contemporary music artists such as Olamide and DJ Cuppy have sang about it.”

Speaking on his current projects, the actor said there is a project he is working on but it’s on hold because of financial challenges.

When asked why he isn’t often seen in movies these days, the entertainer said many of his colleagues think I’m not a commercial artiste.

“But I’m telling them not to see me as just a movie producer. I am also a commercial actor. Ever since I started speaking out about this, there have been changes but not much. They now call me for jobs but things can be better.”

He mentioned artiste like late Ade Afolayan (Ade love) as an artist who used to feature only in his own production, and people have been looking at him like that.

“In those days, hardly would you see an actor such as Ade Afolayan (Ade Love) in every movie. He usually only featured in his own productions. Because of that, people perceived him as not been a commercial artiste.

“Someone like Kunle Afolayan is also seen in that light. He is a producer and director, and many people don’t see him as a commercial actor. As for me, I am a producer, director, singer, dancer and actor. I am a born artiste and there is no role I cannot play.”

Kemi Olunloyo calls out to Naira Marley over attack on Ruggedman In London (VIDEO)

She wrote:

Marlians, be guided. Don’t be part of this. Violence is not the answer to anything. My whole family almost got killed yesterday because of cash, gadgets and jewelry. My son @richkjtmusic lost all his devices and studio equipment. We were beaten, my 79yo mom tortured at gunpoint.

My #ptsd heightened, my family too now. Nobody needs to be attacked for advocacy or freedom of expression. I support @nairamarleybut not supporting assaulting @ruggedybaba. Sorry, Ruggedman. Young ppl don’t take your foolishness to foreign countries. God bless the Naira, Nigeria, and everyone.
