When Is The Champions League Draw And How To Watch

As the season started few weeks back, many fans have entertained with weekend  and league matches but they would also love to see the champions league commencing but before that, we need to know which team faces each other as we prepare to know when the champions’ league draw will take place and where fans can watch it live.

By the end of this week being today, the teams gunning for the title will know their fate as the champions league draw will take place this week. Strong Teams like holders Real Madrid, Bayern, Barcelona, Man city, Juventus and finalist, Liverpool will like to know the teams they will be facing in the group stages of the competition.

A lot of teams have been playing the qualifying round since June and it ends on the 29th of August being Wednesday. Teams like Red Star Belgrade, PSV Eindoven, Young Boys, Ajax, Benfica and AEK Athens have made it through to the next round of the group stage after playing so many rounds to get there.

The draw for the group phases of the competition will take place on Thursday, 30th of August in France (Monaco) with the normal draw commencing from around 5pm Nigerian time. The first round of the group stage matches will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday of next month being 18th and 19th respectively.

Nigerian football fans will love to watch the champions league draw live and you can get that on BT Sport 2 with coverage commencing at 4:30pm BST, or you can get it at Sky Sports Premier League or Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports News with coverage beginning at 5pm.

Those who subscribe to BT Sport will be able to watch it live (draw) through BT Sport Player, while Sky Sports Customers can watch it live through Sky Go. Also, those with decoders like DSTV or GOTV can watch it live as both decoders show Sky Sport News, which enable you to view the draw live.

In the champions league, there are about four seeding pots for the draw. Pot 1 includes teams of champions league holders, europa league holders and the champions of the six highest ranked countries.
