Omisore! You’re Not Worthy of Leadership- Aregbesola Lambastes Omisore On Road Project.
Governor Rauf Aregbesola has blasted a former senator of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, over a remark he made on a road in the state capital, Osogbo, lambasting him as a habitual liar unworthy of leading the state.
the governor also insists that the former senator apologizes to the citizens of Osun State for lying on the sponsorship of the constructions of the recently opened worker’s drive road in the state capital.
According to the statement released by Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, the Osun state commissioner for Information and Strategy, the comment made by senator Omisore that United Nations Education, Science, and Cultural Organisation(UNESCO) committed procured seventy percent of the cost of the project was absolutely false and totally untrue.
The UNESCO has come out to openly deny the claim. UNESCO has stated emphatically that the United Nation’s body was not in anyway funding or sponsoring any project in the state. The international organization has also stated in her statement, that the state government has not any point in time approached them soliciting for funding on the road projects.
It is contained in the UNESCO statement; “There was no time the Osun State government or its agencies approached UNESCO to support the project or contribute anything to it. We didn’t pay 70 percent or any other fraction to the project, as being peddled…”.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy had further made known in his statement that the Road Project was absolutely footed from the Omoluabi Infrastructure Fund, and that no external support was sought.
He further noted that;“Omisore should eat the humble pie and toe the responsible line with the UNESCO puncturing his blatant lies. He should be bold enough to apologise to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, the state government and the people of the state. Taking this step will help him in redeeming his battered and hogwash image in this matter…”.
The former deputy governor was lambasted for his incompetence and failure to understand state governing affairs. the statement says that;
“The former deputy governor has demonstrated, by engaging in rumour peddling and spreading falsehood, gross incompetence and lack of understanding to run a government. He has exposed his intellectual laziness to think or conduct simple research on how a renowned organization like UNESCO run its affair before embarking on his white lies…”.
The statement further noted that; “It is crystal clear that Omisore has nothing to offer the people of the state of Osun and it is bad enough that he is a leading governorship aspirant of the opposition PDP which has shown that they lacked a requisite person to hold the exalted position of the governor of Osun. This apparent failure is indicative of the fact that Omisore is a failed aspirant whose rabid desire to rule pushes to tell lies with a view to gain relevance, even when that hurts and dis-orients the people…”.
The state government then admonishes senator Omisore to further his education take professional courses that will equip him with leadership and governance. They further say that if he does not take a course, tendency lies that he might have been impeached as deputy governor on the ground of incompetence.
the statement also faulted him on his unnecessary act of misinforming the people of the state, and that if he had nothing to do, he should face his ignoble charges levied against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
