The immediate past lawmaker representing Kaduna central district, Shehu Sani, has described the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, as a hypocrite.
This is a reaction to a post from el-Rufai El-Rufai who posted photos of Sani and former lawmaker, Suleiman Hunkuyi, mocking them and boasting that he was responsible for their defeat in the last elections and their “permanent” retirement from politics.
“You can’t claim to have ‘retired’ anyone in politics when all your life is about hanging behind President Buhari and name dropping him to achieve your goals. You are yet to prove your ‘power of retirement’ by standing on your feet, though the recent one you did was trying to be the chairman of Governor’s forum and you woefully failed.’
Reacting to the post, Shehu who pointed that the history of the governor of changing godfathers is well known to Nigerians said President Muhammadu Buhari will soon taste the poisonous his ‘patented venom’.
“Your treacherous history of decamping from one Godfather to another is well known to all Nigerians. And I have always believed that it’s a matter of time before PMB will have a taste of your patented venom and perfidy once you reach a point that he is of no further importance to you.
“You are Neither the first to ‘win re-election’ nor will you be the last in our state. The difference is that even Makarfi who served 8 years never claimed to have retired anyone. And their victories were never challenged as a fraud.
“It’s typical of you after spending days and night begging PMB and Oshiomole to have your way over two senatorial seats only for you to purport for yourself the claim of retiring your perceived adversaries. All the staff of Oshiomole’s office at Aso Drive can attest to how you patrolled that office 24hours and knelt down for him to have your way; and how you shed tears before PMB to let you install a stooge.”
While noting that he believes that President Buhari is experienced enough to know that what el-Rufai say behind him is different from what you say before him, Sani said he had survived many attacks and assassination attempts in Kaduna of which the intention is clear in the last four years.
” You tried to frame me up for murder until your evil became exposed.
“On the month of May 2018, you openly called on the public to launch violence and kill me and the other two senators. The CLEAR THREATS IN YOUR POST IS NOT DIFFERENT FROM YOUR DESIRE TO MURDER ME OR SENATOR HUNKUYI OR ANY OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS.
“You are highly intoxicated with power, but like I always say, power is temporary, no matter how long you cling unto it, it’s a matter of time you will return back as an ordinary person and at the mercy of your deeds.”
Sani, who is also a human right activist said that despite not winning reelection, he can’t be silenced.
“You can continue to hide behind Buhari to ‘retire people’ and you can use your vantage position to kill me or Senator Hunkuyi But Neither you nor your ilks can silence us.
“I’m not responsible for your height but your God, unleash your frustrations where it’s deserving. You, your wives and your children are so stuck and obsessed with us, why not for once graduate from this point.”
He, therefore, told el-Rufai to enjoy his power while it last as it is temporary.
“I’m always proud of my votes and my supporters, I never divided people along religious lines to get their votes,
“I never shared money and fabrics to women and men to queue up to vote for me, I never used threats and violence to force people to vote for me, I never relied on ‘Baba Buhari’ to come to Kaduna to ask people to vote for me.
“You are a man who can never live or breath without PMB; You habitually and ungratefully make a loud mouth of your false and dubious political prowess, while you are only a beneficiary of Buhari’s political magnanimity, weaknesses or largesse.
‘Before I left the APC, I told PMB and Oshiomole and Tinubu that you will insult, betray and fight them. It’s in your DNA.
“The liquor of power makes you think and act like a God, enjoy it while it lasts. It seems your mind is still troubled if not, Shehu Sani could not have been in your diminutive heart long after you have ‘retired him’.
“YOU ARE AT LIBERTY TO SEND YOUR BODYBAGS ASSASSINS AFTER ME BUT BE REST ASSURED THAT THE SHEHU YOU KNOW WILL NEVER BE SILENT.”
Shut up and leave PDP if you have no value to add, Agbaje tells Bode George
Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje has told former Deputy National Chairman, Bode George to shut up and leave the party if he has no value to add.
There has been disagreement between George and Agbaje over the outcome of the governorship election in Lagos that returned Babajide Sanwo-olu elected as both have been blaming each other for the failure of the party to win the state.
Recently, the duo are at each other’s throat over defection insinuations, which both have denied.
Agbaje had accused George of insinuating his defection from the PDP, when he was described as a failed governorship candidate.
Speaking on the clash, media aide to Agbaje, Felix Oboagwina, denied reports that his principal had dumped the opposition party and also accused the leadership of the party in Lagos of alleged plans to “give the dog a bad name and chase it away from the party.”
On the social media posts that Agbaje had left the PDP to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oboagwina said they were untrue.
“There is nothing like that, nothing like that at all. He is still in PDP; he has not defected. How can people say he has defected on social media? He is too big for that; he is in PDP.”
When asked if there were plans by his principal to dump the PDP for APC, he answered in the negative.
“People should please tell Bode George to shut up and leave PDP if he lacks any value to add to the party, instead of being a dog in the manger hampering the progress of the party in Lagos State.
“He should tell the world where he got the news being spread around.
Atiku Abubakar Is Not A Threat To Democracy But Believes In The Rule Of Law – Paul Ibe
The Presidential Candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the last Nigeria Presidential Election, Atiku Abubakar recently states that he saw a signal to be arrested, NIGERIA NEWS reports.
However, Atiku media spokesperson, Paul Ibe states this on Sunday.
Besides, the accusation of Atiku about the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC conduct of the election, he is tagged to be a threat to the current administration.
His Spokesperson is quoted saying, “I wish to emphatically state that such a statement did not emanate from Atiku Abubakar or his privies.
“It is the work of mischief makers who want to mar his spotless pro-democratic record and lay the groundwork for their threatened actions against him on false charges of being a threat to national security.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Atiku Abubakar believes in the rule of law and in the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In his almost four decades in politics, he has never taken action or spoken words against democracy and will not start now.
“Atiku Abubakar and his team have confidence in God and thus call on those bent on mischief to have the fear of God and retrace their steps.
Ibe then finally stated that:
“Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria. The culture of fear being created now cannot rein in our democracy. Nigeria and Nigerians have a consistent history of outlasting tyranny and will continue to do so by the grace of God.”
