Communications minister attacks Ajimobi in letter to Buhari, Oyegun
he Minister of Communications, Alhaji Adebayo Shittu, has petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari; the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun; and a national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over the “unbecoming conduct” of the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
In the petition dated December 18, 2017, a copy of which was obtained by our correspondent on Wednesday, the minister accused the governor of high-handedness.

Noorul Mahjabeen Hassan, a 20-year-old mathematics student from Orlando, Florida, United States, is set to marry a popular computer game – Tetris. This is coming after she lost her ex-lover Pierre, a calculator in a fatal accident.
Pierre is said to have met his demise during a routine cleaning.
After several attempts and failed romance with objects such as an iPod and a monorail, Hassan, who prefers to go by Fractal Tetris Huracan, has found contentment in her ‘darling’ Tetris and is ready to commit to it once she graduates from university.
Rohr officially signs new Super Eagles deal
Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, has officially put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Rohr was appointed Super Eagles head Coach in August 2016 and has steered the team to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, winning four games and drawing one in a qualifying group that also had Zambia, African champions Cameroon and Algeria. His previous deal will run out in July 2018.
Omokore firms’ accounts frozen by worldwide order – Stanbic IBTC
An official of Stanbic IBTC Plc, Mr. Adedayo Adesanmi, told the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday that the accounts of a businessman, Jide Omokore, with the bank and into which $1.6bn proceeds of sales of the Federal Government’s crude oil were allegedly diverted, had been closed as a result of “a worldwide freezing order.”
Taraba blows hot over Buhari’s cattle colony proposal
Herdsmen destroy ex-naval chief’s farms, Taraba rejects cattle colony
A former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Samuel Afolayan, said on Wednesday that herdsmen had destroyed about 45 hectares of his 500-hectare farm.
Afolayan’s cry is coming on the heels of fresh attacks by herdsmen in Benue State during which five people reportedly died.
The former naval boss explained that the cattle rearers burnt about 20 hectares of orange farm, 20 hectares of cassava farm and five hectares of palm farm.
Funke Akindele calls for teacher’s sack, end to flogging of students in schools
She made the call in a video uploaded on her Instagram account on Tuesday evening.
In the video, a male teacher was seen viciously flogging some female students with a cable.
The students, who were on a sort of Assembly line could be seen in pain after being flogged by the teacher.
However, ‘Jenifa’ as widely called has called for the teacher’s sack while also demanding for the name of the school and teacher.
