Ministry Promotes 12,588 Officers

In a bid to beef up the security services in the country, 12,588 officers under the Ministry of Interior have been promoted.

According to the Chairman of the board, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd) the officers were from Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS).

12,588 Officers Get Promotion In Ministry Of Interior

The Director overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Emmanuel Agamah broke down the details of the promotion thus, ” NSCDC – 3,983 officers; FFS – 319 officers; NIS – 4,850 officers, and NPS – 3,436 officers.”

The minister of Interior while congratulating the newly promoted officers urged them to see professionalism, diligence, dedication and loyalty as paramount in their place of assignment.

He also thanked President Buhari for his constant support to the sector especially in the area of provision of equipment.
