UTME Results: Why 18 States may have their exam results cancelled

Half of the federation in the 36 states in Nigeria among the students who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 2019 who expecting the results might not see any as their results may be cancelled due to examination malpractice NIGERIA NEWS learnt
earlier, we have reported that more than 1.2million candidates who are willing to gain admission into higher institution in Nigeria, wrote the exam in accredited CBT centres in Nigeria across Nigeria and in FCT, Abuja
According to an online Nigerian Newspapers, PT and official who spoke with the newspaper’s correspondent are delaying the results due to the fact that there were massive examination malpractice by the students in collaboration with the CBT centres even though there were CCTV cameras all over the place
He said the “fearless display of fraudulent tactics by some individuals including parents and centre owners,” would leave many people shocked.
The insider who spoke with Premium times learnt that many students, parents had the effrontery to display recklessness in the CBT centres to for their children to commit fraud for them to pass and if the hold things are revealed to the members of the public, everyone will be in shocked
He added that “fearless display of fraudulent tactics by some individuals including parents and centre owners,” would leave many people shocked
“Those people, I trembled when I saw the magnitude of malpractice they perpetrated, in spite of the technological measures JAMB took. I don’t know what we can do again,” Premium Times quotes the source as saying
“If you look at the CCTV camera recordings, you would now wonder whether these people thought we were just joking when we insisted on installation of CCTV cameras. I am sure they didn’t believe us because anybody that had believed us would not have tried what they tried in those places.”
Many are already awaiting the release of the JAMB result since the few days after the examination but till now new dates are being announced daily
