JAMB 2019: JAMB registrar reveals why he will not release over 34000 candidates result

On Saturday, May 11 2019, The examination board JAMB - Joint Admission and Matriculation Board - have finally released the Jamb 2019 UTME results.
NIGERIA NEWS have earlier reported that over 1.8 Million students wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The exam which started on April 11 ended on April 18.
Professor Olanrewaju Ishaq Oloyede, The Exam Registrar had announced the release of the 2019 UTME results in Abuja at the early hours of Saturday May 11.
The Registrar, however stated that 34,120 results have been withheld for different reasons.
He added that 15,145 results of the withheld results have be withheld so as to clarify it further.
He said:
“For 2019 results 1,886,508 candidates registered including those in foreign centres,” he announced.
“Out of this number which excludes Direct Entry, 59,667 were absent and a total of 1,826,839 sat for the UTME.
“Today, we release 1,792,719 results. Some 34,120 results withheld including the results of 15,145 candidates identified by identical twins for further clarification.”
