Sokoto Live Update Today On Supplementary Election

Today being 23rd of March is the supplementary election in Sokoto state after the Returning Officer has earlier declared the governorship election in the state inconclusive of the March 9th election of Sokoto state

For that reason, the INEC had fixed today to carry out the voting exercise to know the real winner of the election

The incumbent Governor Aminu Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will face the Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the supplementary election.

Governor Tambuwal is already leading the poll with 3,413 votes.

Tambuwal result is 489, 558 in 12 LGAs while the APC scores 486, 145 votes in 11 Local Government Areas

75,4003 is the total votes cancelled in the state to have warranted supplementary election according to INEC

The supplementary election will take place in 136 polling unit in Sokoto state cut across 22 local governments in total of 23 local government in Sokoto state.
